The acting foreign minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, criticized the double standards of the international community regarding the issue of Palestine, saying that the \u201cworld that talks of human rights, human values, freedom and justice, is watching the brutal massacre.”<\/strong><\/p>\n He made the remarks at a high-level consultative conference on Palestine in Tehran.<\/p>\n Muttaqi also called on the Islamic World to be united regarding the issue of Palestine, saying that the struggle of Palestinians is \u201clegitimate and legal.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as a guardian of Islamic values, calls on influential Islamic countries to play a more effective role in putting an end to the killing of innocent Palestinian people by the Zionist regime and holding the Zionist regime accountable,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Muttaqi also indicated the situation in Afghanistan, saying that the country is one of the victims of the world\u2019s contradiction.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is grotesque to see my country, Afghanistan, being sanctioned by instrumentalizing human rights \u2013 when we are taking steps towards security and stability following more than four decades of foreign invasions!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The political analysts gave various opinions in this regard.<\/p>\n \u201cAll Muslims are sad because the Islamic countries have not played the role which they should have played,\u201d said Wahid Faqiri, a political analyst.<\/p>\n Al-Jazeera reported from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees which said it \u201ccannot deliver meaningful aid\u201d under intense Israeli bombardments of Gaza after the UN Security Council called for increased access.<\/p>\n On 7 October 2023, the latest conflict between Israel and Hamas began. According to the reports, more than 20,000 Palestinians have been killed in the conflict, while Israel also announced that 130 military and around 1,200 civilians have been killed.
